What started as a simple email list to invite neighbors to social events has grown into the heart of our community. While some platforms focus on grievances or politics, we’ve chosen a different path. This is a social space built on the idea that neighborhoods are better when people actually know each other. We’re here to share a cup of coffee, celebrate a milestone, and lend a hand—not to monitor lawn heights or debate the news.
From our annual summer potluck and holiday cookie swaps to casual Triangle happy hours, our events are designed to turn "the person down the street" into a friend. Let’s keep building a community we’re all proud to call home.
Here’s how our social group fits in with other local organizations:
Berwick Civic Association (BCA): The formal, city-sanctioned voice of Berwick. They act as our official liaison with the City of Columbus, hold monthly board meetings, and send out "Berwick Community Announcements." It’s the place for official business and neighborhood-wide updates. Join the Berwick Civic Association if you want to vote on neighborhood issues or hear from city trustees.
NextDoor Berwick: A high-traffic digital bulletin board. Like a local version of Facebook, it’s a platform for frequent posts, address-verified networking, and neighborhood-wide alerts. Join Nextdoor if you need a plumber recommendation right now or want to find a lost cat quickly.
Berwick Neighbors (that’s us!): We are the informal, community-building side of Berwick. We focus on bringing people together through events and local connection, without the formality of a board or the high volume of a social media feed. Join our group if you want to get to know and interact with real people living in your neighborhood– and maybe even attend a social gathering or two!
